Explaining Complex Coating Machines
The Laboratory Roll-to-Roll Coater is a compact, modular platform for coating and printing functional thin films. Designed to fit inside fume hoods and gloveboxes, it can be configured in thousands of ways to support applications ranging from solar cells and batteries to adhesives and pharmaceutical applications. Its flexibility is one of its greatest strengths, but also one of the most challenging aspects to communicate.
To showcase the system’s capabilities, I collaborated with one of our technical experts to produce a product video explaining the platform and its applications. I helped develop the script, planned and captured all footage, and handled the complete editing process. The video combines expert insights with clear visuals of the machine, highlighting its modular design, available configurations, and integration into laboratory environments.
The result is a concise and engaging introduction that helps researchers, engineers, and purchasing managers quickly understand how the system can be tailored to their specific needs. By combining technical expertise with professional video production, the project makes a complex product easier to understand and evaluate.
